In via eccezionale Museo e Rocca di Solferino saranno aperti sabato 23 ottobre e nelle giornate di domenica 24 ottobre, sabato 30 ottobre, domenica 31 ottobre e lunedì 1 novembre, con l’orario invernale: 9 – 12.30 e 14 – 17.30.

Ci sono ancora cinque giorni per visitare i siti museali di Solferino, altrimenti chiusi ed accessibili solo a gruppi su prenotazione al numero: 030 9910370 o alla mail: prenotazioni@solferinoesanmartino.it.

Solferino, un piccolo borgo tra le colline moreniche, poco distante dal Lago di Garda, è famoso in tutto il mondo per la grande battaglia che qui si svolse il 24 giugno 1859  che vide contrapporsi i Francesi, alleati del Regno di Sardegna, contro gli Austriaci.

Il Museo, la Rocca e l’Ossario ricordano l’Impero ed i Caduti di Napoleone III di Francia e di Francesco Giuseppe d’Austria: venite a scoprire i tesori del Museo e della Spia d’Italia che raccontano la liberazione della Lombardia dal dominio austriaco e la Seconda Guerra d’Indipendenza.

Il biglietto Solferino, per visitare tutti i luoghi storici, costa 5 euro ed i bambini sotto gli 11 anni non pagano. Ampi parchi, accanto al Museo, all’Ossario ed alla Spia d’Italia sono l’ideale per passeggiate nel verde, alla scoperta di quello che un tempo fu il campo di battaglia.

Ricordiamo che a San Martino il complesso monumentale -Torre, Museo ed Ossario- è invece aperto tutto l’anno, dal martedì alla domenica, dalle 9 alle 12.30 e dalle 14 alle 17.30.

Special opening in Solferino

Exceptionally the Museum and the Fortress of Solferino will be open on Saturday October 23 and on Sunday October 24, Saturday October 30, Sunday October 31 and Monday November 1, during the winter opening hours: 9am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 5.30pm.

Solferino, a small village in the morainic hills, not far from Lake Garda, is famous throughout the world for the great battle that took place here on 24 June 1859 between the French, allies of the Kingdom of Sardinia, and the Austrians.

The Museum, the Fortress and the Ossuary commemorate the Empire and the Fallen of Napoleon III of France and Francis Joseph of Austria: come and discover the treasures of the Museum and the Spia d’Italia that tell the story of the liberation of Lombardy from Austrian rule and the Second War of Independence.

The Solferino ticket, to visit all the historical sites, costs 5 euros and children under 11 do not pay. Large parks next to the Museum, the Ossuary and the Spia d’Italia are ideal for walks in the green, discovering what was once the battlefield.

Please note that the monumental complex – Tower, Museum and Ossuary – in San Martino is open all year round, from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
